General Information

Gain clarity on what HeartPath stands for, the range of preventive screening services we offer, and discover who can benefit most from our approach to proactive, accessible healthcare.

HeartPath offers a comprehensive cardiometabolic screening designed to assess your risk for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. During the screening, we perform a minimally invasive finger-prick blood test to measure your lipid profile, blood glucose, and Hba1c levels.

In addition, we assess several key health metrics including blood pressure, body composition (with BMI and waist circumference), heart rate and rhythm, cardiorespiratory fitness (using VO2Max via the Ventriject system), and lung health.

This multi-faceted approach helps provide a well-rounded view of your cardiometabolic status.

Yes. Our screening program is designed to be beneficial for a wide range of individuals, from those with no apparent symptoms to those who have risk factors for cardiovascular or metabolic conditions.

Whether you are proactive about your health or have a specific concern, our service complements existing medical care and offers valuable insights regardless of age or health background.

We do, however, advise individuals with certain chronic conditions to consult with their healthcare provider for personalised guidance.

Preventative screening is a proactive step toward long-term health. Even if you aren’t experiencing symptoms, factors such as family history, lifestyle risks, or previous health concerns may put you at increased risk.

Our screening can identify early signs of potential issues, allowing you to take action before symptoms arise. It’s a valuable tool for anyone interested in maintaining their cardiovascular and metabolic well-being.

Absolutely. Our screenings are carried out by trained, registered and qualified personnel who follow best practices in preventive healthcare.

While our service is not a substitute for a medical diagnosis, the data and personalised recommendations we provide are designed to complement your ongoing care.

In cases where results indicate potential issues, we recommend that you follow up with your General Practitioner (GP) or relevant healthcare provider for further evaluation.

Yes. HeartPath is meant to work alongside your existing healthcare. Our screening offers an additional layer of insight into your health, which can be shared with your GP.

If any findings are outside normal parameters, we’ll advise you to seek further consultation with your doctor to ensure you receive comprehensive care.

Yes. During your screening, our team discusses your results in detail and highlights any risk factors, offering personalised advice and recommendations tailored to your needs.

In addition, we provide access to educational resources that help you understand your results and guide you on next steps. Ongoing support is available should you have any further questions or require additional guidance.

The Screening Process

Learn what to expect before, during, and after your screening appointment. We’ll guide you through scheduling, on-site procedures, and understanding your results, ensuring every step is transparent, convenient, and empowering.

Booking your appointment is simple. You can use the “Book a Screening” feature on our website or contact us directly. The process is streamlined to ensure you can secure a time that fits your schedule.

On the day of your screening, you will first have a blood sample taken via a finger prick. This sample is used to assess your lipid profile, glucose, and Hba1c levels.

In addition, you will have your blood pressure measured, and we will conduct a body composition analysis (including BMI and waist circumference).

We also check your heart rate and rhythm, assess your cardiorespiratory fitness using the Ventriject system (VO2Max), and evaluate your lung health.

Throughout the session, our trained personnel will discuss your results with you in real time and highlight any areas of concern.

Our screening is designed to be efficient and minimally disruptive. Most sessions are completed within a reasonable timeframe, allowing you to receive a thorough evaluation without significantly interrupting your day.

The exact duration may vary slightly based on individual circumstances, but we aim to provide a comprehensive service that fits into your busy schedule.

For optimal results, we recommend that you avoid caffeinated drinks and nicotine for at least 2 hours prior to your appointment.

If you are diabetic or have a history of elevated cholesterol or thyroid issues, an 8-hour fasting period is advised to ensure a more accurate blood sample, though you may drink water during this time.

You will receive your results on the same day as your screening. Our team reviews each measure with you immediately, ensuring that you understand your health status and any risk factors without delay.

Yes. We believe in ongoing support. If any of your results fall outside of normal parameters, or if you simply have further questions after your screening, follow-up consultations are available. We can also provide recommendations for further action, including consultations with your GP if needed.
